Job description

Join a technology-focused infrastructure team supporting a highly regulated life sciences environment where network reliability, security, and scalability are critical to day-to-day business operations. This team supports enterprise networking across corporate and cloud-connected environments, partnering closely with IT, cloud, security, and operations stakeholders to keep systems stable, resilient, and ready for continued growth.

What's In Store For You:

Engagement: W2 only (no C2C/1099)

This is a long-term contract opportunity supporting enterprise network operations, modernization, and hybrid cloud connectivity. The role is based onsite in Bridgewater, NJ and offers exposure to traditional network infrastructure, cloud networking, SD-WAN, monitoring platforms, and automation-adjacent tools.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Configure, support, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN infrastructure across routers, switches, firewalls, and related network systems.
  • Own day-to-day network operations, including incident resolution, change management, performance monitoring, and escalation support.
  • Help improve network reliability, scalability, and security through architecture enhancements and infrastructure optimization.
  • Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks or failures, and proactively resolve issues before they impact business operations.
  • Maintain clear network documentation, diagrams, configuration records, and operational runbooks.
  • Support hybrid cloud connectivity across on-premises infrastructure and AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform environments.
  • Assist with cloud VPN tunnels, VPC networking, security groups, routing configurations, and collaboration with cloud engineering teams.
  • Participate in on-call support for critical network infrastructure.

Requirements

Are you an experienced network infrastructure professional ready to make an impact?

  • 10+ years of experience in network infrastructure, IT operations, or enterprise network engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience with LAN/WAN infrastructure, routers, switches, firewalls, and enterprise network troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Catalyst switches, ISR routers, Meraki, Cisco DNA Center, VPC networking, AWS, and/or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong protocol knowledge across TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, NTP, STP, LACP, OSPF, BGP, ACLs, and VPN.
  • Experience using network monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark, CLI-based tools, and similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with ITSM platforms, preferably ServiceNow, for ticketing, incident tracking, and change management.
  • Exposure to SD-WAN solutions such as Cisco Viptela or Meraki.
  • Exposure to cloud networking concepts, including cloud VPN, hybrid connectivity, VPCs, routing, and security groups.
  • Basic scripting knowledge with Python or PowerShell is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Ansible, Terraform, ITIL, and formal change management processes is a plus.
  • Cisco CCIE certification is preferred.
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Google Associate Cloud Engineer certification is nice to have.
  • Strong documentation, communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
