Job description
- As an Oracle Data Platform Multicloud Architect, you will be the trusted advisor to our clients, helping them leverage the power of our Oracle Cloud Data Platform technologies specifically Oracle ExadataDB, Oracle Autonomous DB, Oracle Data Guard, Oracle Autonomous Recovery Service, and Oracle Golden Gate to help customers drive innovation and growth.
- You will be working alongside Oracle North America's enterprise strategic customers building out solutions on Oracle DB@Multicloud (deployed at Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and or AWS).
- Your engagement will be both during the pre-sale and post-sale cycles advising customer on how to adopt and implement Oracle DB workloads on Azure, GCP, and/or AWS using Oracle Multicloud Data Platform. You will be working with multiple customers in various stages of discovery, solutioning, proof, and implementations.
- Broad and deep Oracle ExadataDB experience in architecture, solution selling, and implementation is required for this role.
- Your primary focus will be on designing and architecting cutting-edge solutions, considering the unique challenges and opportunities. You will be part of the Oracle Sales Engineering organization working to help grow Oracle's Multicloud Data Platform business growth in North America.
- The role typically involves a mix of travel (25%) & work from home (75%); e.g., traveling to/ working onsite with customers, your local metro area travel, US East & US Central coverage is planned.
- Plus points for qualified applicants based near New York City (NYC) and able to visit customers in a local capacity.
- Plus points will be given for experience implementing Oracle ExadataDB in Financial Services, Insurance, and High Tech Industries.
- Plus points will also be given for candidates with a deep understanding of competitor offerings, such as Snowflake and Databricks, and the ability to position our solutions effectively., * Engage with customers to understand their data journey, including migration, integration, and modernization, and propose tailored Oracle ExaDB cloud data platform solutions.
- Design and architect cloud-native data platforms, leveraging OCI services: Cloud Data Platform Product Knowledge: Exadata, Autonomous Database (AutoDB), and Generative AI (GenAI) for advanced analytics.
- Provide thought leadership and best practices to customers, helping them optimize their data architecture and improve business outcomes.
- Conduct technical workshops and presentations to educate customers and partners on our data platform capabilities and benefits.
- Provide detailed technical step-by-step guidance on Oracle ExaDB@Multicloud deployments including cloud tenancy setup, ExadataDB provisioning, as well as Azure/GCP/and/or AWS networking and security configurations.
- Stay informed about competitor offerings (Snowflake, Databricks) and market trends to develop compelling value propositions for our solutions.
- Collaborate with the Oracle Product Management, Product Development, and Support teams to provide feedback and influence the development of focused features and services.
- Share your knowledge and expertise across the Oracle Sales Engineering organization to foster a culture of continuous learning.
Requirements
- Extensive solution architecture & hands-on implementation experience working with Oracle Exadata (on-premise hardware, ExadataCloud@Customer (ExaCC), ExadataCloudService (ExaCS), and/or Oracle Autonomous DB).
- In-depth knowledge of cloud data platform technologies, including data warehousing, data lakes, and real-time analytics.
- Expertise in our cloud data platform offerings: Cloud Data Platform Product Knowledge Plus, Exadata, AutoDB, and GenAI.
- Strong proven decade+ experience as an Oracle Database Administrator using RMAN, Data Guard, Transportable Table Spaces, ZDM, and other data migration tools.
- Proficiency in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration techniques.
- Experience with cloud-based data warehousing solutions, data lake architecture, and modern data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Kafka).
- Programming skills in Python, SQL, or similar languages for data manipulation and analysis.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
- Industry certifications such as Oracle DBA Certified, OCI Architect, AWS Architect, Azure Architect, GCP Architect, Snowflake Certified Architect, and/or Databricks Certified Associate are highly valued.
Preferred Background:
- Oracle DBA and/or Oracle DB Migration Architect/ Engineer with a deep understanding of industry specific data challenges and opportunities.
- Experience working as a hands-on Oracle DB practitioner / technical consultant/ system integrator is strongly preferred. This role requires providing deep technical guidance around architecting, design, sizing, provisioning, cloud tenancy buildout, and DB migrations to cloud.
- Experience in leading data platform migration projects to cloud environments.
- Located in NY/NJ/PA/OH/Washington DC Metro/Atlanta/Charlotte NC preferred.
Benefits & conditions
US: Hiring Range in USD from: $147,300 to $243,800 per annum. May be eligible for equity and compensation deferral. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 70/30.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
