Senior Backend Engineer

Role: As a Senior Backend Engineer, with an emphasis on API & AI Integrations, you will play a critical role in developing, scaling, and maintaining the backend systems that power OxeFit's innovative fitness technology ecosystem, including OxeAI. This position is responsible for designing secure, scalable APIs, integrating AI-driven services, and building cloud-native solutions that enable seamless interactions between software platforms, fitness equipment, mobile applications, and enterprise partners.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams including AI, Product, Mobile, Embedded Systems, and Customer Experience to deliver high-quality backend services that support the future of intelligent fitness.

Essential Functions:

• Design, develop document, and maintain secure, scalable APIs and backend services supporting OxeAI and OxeFit products
• Build and manage integrations between AI platforms, internal applications, third-party systems, and connected fitness technologies
• Develop backend applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, Python, and modern software engineering best practices
• Design and optimize data models, databases, and service architectures to support high-volume, real-time user interactions
• Collaborate with AI and machine learning teams to integrate intelligent features into customer-facing products
• Develop and maintain cloud-native services within Azure environments
• Build and support event-driven architectures utilizing messaging platforms
• Create and maintain automated unit, integration, and performance testing strategies
• Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using tools such as Docker, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar technologies
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot production issues, and proactively identify opportunities for optimization

Do you have experience in Web services design?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant backend development experience
• Strong proficiency in C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, Python, and API development
• Experience designing and supporting APIs and web services in production environments
• Experience integrating third-party APIs, SaaS platforms, and cloud services
• Experience working with cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure
• Understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and event-driven design patters
• Experience with source control, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines

• Experience developing API's that support mobile applications, connected devices, or IoT ecosystems
• Experience with Azure OpenAI, OpenAI API's, Anthropic, Google Gemini, or similar AI platforms
• Experience with fitness technology, wearable technology, health platforms, or connected hardware products
