Data Analyst

Our Data Analyst will serve as a key link between engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders. This role is responsible for exploring large datasets, investigating trends and patterns, responding to client inquiries, and transforming data into meaningful insights that support decision-making. Working closely with the Lead Engineer, Data Scientist, and project teams, the Data Analyst will conduct exploratory analyses, support reporting initiatives, identify emerging opportunities or risks, and help answer critical business questions through data., * Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for further investigation.

• Respond to client and internal inquiries by conducting targeted analyses and data deep-dives.
• Develop reports, dashboards, summaries, and visualizations that communicate meaningful findings and support decision-making.
• Partner with engineers, project teams, and business stakeholders to define data requirements and answer key business questions.
• Build and maintain SQL queries, Excel models, and other analytical tools used for recurring reporting and ad hoc analysis.
• Validate data accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and recommend improvements to data quality and reporting processes.
• Document data definitions, business rules, methodologies, and assumptions to support transparency and consistency.
• Support the development and enhancement of Culver Insights' analytics platform through ongoing exploration of client needs, emerging trends, and business opportunities.

• Operate a computer and related technology for extended periods of time.
• Analyze, interpret, and work with detailed datasets, reports, and digital information.
• Participate in virtual meetings, video conferences, and collaborative discussions with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively in written and verbal formats.
• Manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Remain in a stationary position for extended periods while performing computer-based work.

• At least 3 years of professional experience in a Data Analyst, BI Analyst, Business Analyst, Reporting Analyst, Operations Analyst, or similar role
• At least 2 years of professional experience using data to answer business questions, investigate trends, identify patterns, and support decision-making.
• At least 2 years of experience developing reports, dashboards, presentations, or other deliverables used to communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, filtering, and analysis of large datasets
• Proficiency in SQL, including querying, joining datasets, aggregating data, and validating results
• Demonstrated ability to translate business questions into analytical work and actionable recommendations
• Strong ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and proactively pursue answers to ambiguous questions, * Experience working alongside Data Engineers, Software Engineers, or Data Scientists
• Exposure to machine learning, predictive analytics, or AI-enabled workflows
• Experience using Python, R, Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar analytical tools
• Experience working with insurance, claims, utility, safety, operational, or other large-scale transactional datasets
• Experience presenting analytical findings to clients, executives, or non-technical audiences
• Experience leveraging AI tools to support analysis, reporting, research, or workflow efficiency
