Job description
The Hands team is responsible for developing one of the most complex and important subsystems in humanoid robotics: dexterous manipulation. We design, prototype, test, and iterate rapidly to create robotic hands capable of interacting with the world safely, reliably, and with human-like precision.
Working across mechanical, electrical, firmware, controls, and software disciplines, the team moves quickly from concept to hardware, relying on rapid prototyping and hands-on experimentation to accelerate development., * Accelerate development cycles by delivering high-quality prototypes, assemblies, and hardware modifications on aggressive timelines
- Support successful PCB and electromechanical bring-up through effective debugging, testing, and validation activities
- Improve prototype quality and reliability by identifying issues early and providing actionable feedback to engineering teams
- Build and maintain documentation that enables repeatable assembly, testing, and future design iterations
- Support cross-functional teams by ensuring mechanical, electrical, and firmware systems integrate smoothly into robotic hand platforms
Requirements
Do you have experience in Voltage testers?, * Strong hands-on fabrication and assembly skills across mechanical and electrical systems
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities with the confidence to diagnose issues across hardware and integrated systems
- Ability to move quickly while maintaining high standards for quality and attention to detail
- Strong collaboration skills and comfort working closely with engineers across multiple disciplines
- Ownership mindset with a willingness to take initiative and solve problems independently, * 5+ years of experience supporting hardware development in robotics, automotive, consumer electronics, or related industries
- Experience using electrical test equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, and data acquisition tools
- Proficiency with CAD software such as Onshape, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or equivalent
- Strong hands-on experience with 3D printing, CNC machining, laser cutting, manual machining, and general fabrication tools
- Experience documenting assembly processes, test procedures, and development activities, * Experience working with robotic systems, actuators, or mechatronic assemblies
- Experience performing PCB bring-up, firmware flashing, component rework, and hardware validation
- Experience designing and building custom test fixtures or validation rigs
- Familiarity with data acquisition systems, automated testing, and scripting tools
- Experience supporting rapid prototyping efforts in fast-paced product development environments
