Job description
This role leads the design and execution of automated test strategies supporting dual-run claims validation across legacy and modern processing environments. The position involves developing robust automation scripts, expanding regression test coverage, and contributing to performance testing for large-volume claims workloads. The senior automation tester will evaluate and document test outcomes, identify and report defects, and provide daily insights to the variance dashboard, ensuring automation frameworks meet program requirements., * Develop, maintain, and execute automated test cases to support dual-run claims validation for large-scale healthcare claims processing environments.
- Design and implement automated test scripts to compare claim outputs between legacy systems and Facets processing engines.
- Build, organize, and optimize regression test suites to ensure full end-to-end test coverage across high-volume workloads.
- Support performance and load testing efforts to validate automation coverage for a throughput requirement exceeding 4 million claims per day.
- Analyze automated test results, identify variances, and document defects with clear, actionable detail.
- Contribute daily to the variance dashboard, including validation of anomalies, trend analysis, and defect triage.
- Collaborate with development, architecture, and operations teams to validate integration points between legacy platforms and modernized systems.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, and sprint planning to ensure test automation aligns with evolving system requirements.
- Support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) automation efforts, ensuring all automated tests run reliably within delivery pipelines.
- Ensure test automation best practices, coding standards, and quality gates are consistently applied across the project.

Technical Skills:
- Demonstrated experience designing and developing automated tests for large-scale enterprise systems.
- Hands-on experience with modern test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Java/Python automation frameworks, Postman, REST-Assured, Cucumber/Gherkin, TestNG, JUnit).
- Experience validating data-intensive or batch-driven systems, preferably in claims processing or similarly high-volume transactional domains.
- Proven ability to analyze test failures, isolate root causes, and document defects in enterprise defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Experience testing APIs, services, and data transformations across complex system integrations.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps Pipelines.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders., * Experience testing within Facets or other major healthcare payer claim processing platforms.
- Familiarity with healthcare domain standards, CMS environments, or HIPAA regulatory requirements.
- Experience supporting performance, load, or volume testing at enterprise scale.
- Proficiency with SQL for validation of backend processes and claims data sets.
- Hands-on experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and cloud-based test automation pipelines.
- Exposure to modernization projects involving migration from legacy platforms to contemporary architectures.
- Relevant certifications such as ISTQB or Certified Software Test Automation Engineer (CSTAE).
- Active or prior Public Trust, or security clearance.
