Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Data Engineer to join our team and drive the development of scalable, high-performance data solutions. In this role, you will leverage modern cloud-native data platforms - including Snowflake, dbt (data build tool), and Fivetran - to build robust data pipelines, optimize data storage, and enable insightful analytics. Your expertise will help transform complex datasets into actionable insights, empowering decision-making across the organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools and methodologies in a fast-paced, collaborative environment dedicated to technological excellence.

Core Technologies

  • Snowflake - Cloud data warehousing, performance tuning, and data sharing
  • dbt (data build tool) - Data transformation, modeling, testing, and documentation
  • Fivetran - Automated data integration and pipeline orchestration, * Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Fivetran for automated ELT ingestion and dbt for SQL-based data transformation and modeling within Snowflake.
  • Build and optimize cloud data warehouses and data lakes on Snowflake; implement efficient schema design, clustering keys, and query performance tuning.
  • Author, test, and document dbt models (staging, intermediate, and mart layers) following software engineering best practices including version control and CI/CD integration.
  • Configure and manage Fivetran connectors to reliably sync data from diverse SaaS, database, and event sources into the central data platform.
  • Implement database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server, Snowflake, and other relational systems; ensure efficient database design and performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data sources via RESTful APIs and other interfaces for seamless end-to-end data flow.
  • Develop data models to support machine learning algorithms and advanced analytics using SQL and Python within the Snowflake ecosystem.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of data architecture, dbt model lineage, workflows, and processes; uphold best practices in data governance, security, and compliance.
  • Participate actively in Agile development cycles; contribute to continuous integration and deployment pipelines for data assets.

Requirements

Do you have experience in System tuning?, * Hands-on experience with Snowflake, including data modeling, virtual warehouses, roles/permissions, and performance optimization - this is a must-have skill.

  • Proficiency with dbt (data build tool): writing modular SQL models, tests, macros, documentation, and working within dbt Cloud or dbt Core.
  • Experience with Fivetran for configuring, managing, and monitoring data connectors and ELT pipelines.
  • Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure for data storage, processing, and orchestration.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages; familiarity with Java or VBA is a plus.
  • Demonstrated expertise in advanced SQL development for complex transformations, database design, and query optimization.
  • Experience with big data frameworks such as Apache Spark, Hive, or Hadoop ecosystem components is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica or Talend in addition to modern ELT approaches via Fivetran.
  • Knowledge of BI/visualization tools such as Looker, Power BI, or Tableau for building dashboards that support business decisions.
  • Experience working within Agile teams; strong analytical skills with ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Snowflake SnowPro Core Certification or equivalent.
  • dbt Certification or demonstrated portfolio of dbt projects.
  • Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, Prefect, or dbt Cloud's built-in scheduling.
  • Familiarity with data quality frameworks, observability tools (e.g., Monte Carlo, Great Expectations), and metadata management.
  • Exposure to Azure Data Lake, Hadoop, or Apache Hive for hybrid or legacy data environments.
