Job description
We are seeking an Associate Software Engineer based in Hazelwood, MO to support a mission-critical defense program. This role contributes to a high-impact system that plays a significant role in global security and is utilized by multiple military organizations. The program is expected to remain active for the foreseeable future.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of non-embedded software across the full lifecycle, ensuring compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, safety protocols, and strict government regulations.
You will have the opportunity to analyze and translate customer requirements into initial software designs and contribute to enhancing system functionality and integration. The role also involves debugging and resolving issues to ensure high reliability and efficiency., * Respond to user inquiries, troubleshoot technical issues, and analyze user feedback
- Implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulatory requirements
- Execute and document software research and development initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Active U.S. Secret Clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI
- Ability to meet DoD 8140 foundational requirements
- 1+ year of experience with VB, C#, .NET and/or .NET Framework
- 1+ year of experience with SQL or other relational databases, * Bachelor of Science in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, data science, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience with VB, C#, .NET and/or .NET Framework
- 2+ years of experience with SQL or relational databases
- Experience with .NET Framework (WinForms)
- Familiarity with Web Services (SOAP/REST)
- Experience in Windows environments (Windows 10/11, Windows Server)
- Knowledge of project management tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps Pipelines or similar)
- Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit, JUnit, MS Test)
- Working knowledge of C++
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- CompTIA Security+ certification
