Job description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Service / Order Support Specialist to join a fast-paced team supporting technical products and services. In this role, you will serve as a primary point of contact for customers, handling inquiries, processing orders, and ensuring a high level of service through professional communication and efficient problem-solving., * Provide exceptional support via phone, email, and other channels to internal and external customers
- Handle a high-volume workload (team supports ~600 emails and 40-50 calls daily)
- Process and verify spare parts and repair orders with a high degree of accuracy
- Generate and deliver customer quotes
- Maintain and update customer account information
- Provide order status updates and delivery timelines
- Manage order changes, updates, and communicate adjustments across departments
- Partner with Operations, Accounting, Logistics, and Technical teams to meet delivery expectations
- Resolve customer issues and complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Perform data entry and documentation tasks with strong attention to detail
Requirements
Order Entry Multitasking Adaptability Communication Detail Oriented Microsoft Excel Problem Solving Customer Service Microsoft Outlook, Verbal Communication Skills Enterprise Resource Planning Customer Relationship Management, * 2+ years of customer service experience (call center preferred, but open to retail or technical backgrounds)
- Strong written communication skills (email-heavy role-grammar and clarity are critical)
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Solid computer proficiency; ability to navigate multiple systems and monitors simultaneously
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Strong multi-tasking, adaptability, and organizational abilities
- High attention to detail-comfortable working with large volumes of part numbers and data, * Experience with ERP/CRM systems (Oracle a plus)
- Background in order entry, quoting, or parts support
- Experience in automotive, aerospace, or technical environments
- Technical aptitude or hands-on experience (including IT backgrounds)
- Experience with parts retailers such as AutoZone, NAPA, or similar
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree (preferred but not required), * A proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester Hills, MI. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
