Job description

  • Lead advisory engagements supporting clients in the planning, governance, and execution of SAP S/4HANA transformation programs.

  • Act as the KPMG engagement lead on client-facing workstreams, coordinating with program management offices, system integrators and client leadership.

  • Establish and operate program governance structures

  • Guide clients on program roadmap design, scope management, resource planning, and go-live readines.

Independent Quality Assurance (QA)

  • Deliver independent quality assurance services across core workstreams, providing clients with an objective opinion on program status, delivery quality, and risk exposure.
  • Apply KPMG's methodology and other global KPMG quality assurance frameworks to structure and execute QA engagements.
  • Produce QA reports, go-live readiness assessments, and risk dashboards for program boards and audit committees.
  • Serve as a trusted, independent voice, free from the conflicts of the implementing system integrator, to give clients the confidence they need to make critical program decisions.

Client Development & Practice Building

  • Drive business development in Belgium.

  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships with program leads, CFOs, CIOs, and internal audit directors.

  • Help build the KPMG SAP team in Belgium: mentor junior staff, develop local methodologies and assets, and strengthen KPMG's positioning as the leading independent SAP advisory partner in the Belgian market, while connecting into KPMG's broader European and global SAP network.

  • Represent KPMG at SAP events in Belgium and internationally, participate in client workshops, and contribute to thought leadership that raises KPMG's profile in the Belgian SAP market.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of SAP experience, with hands-on functional expertise in one or more core S/4HANA modules.
  • Demonstrable experience in at least 2-3 full-cycle SAP implementations, from blueprint through go-live.
  • Growing experience in program or project management on SAP programs.
  • Experience with (or interest in) quality assurance, program health reviews, or independent assessment of SAP programs.
  • Background in consulting or a leading SAP system integrator.
  • Industry experience relevant to our core client base: manufacturing, chemicals, consumer goods, life sciences, or financial services.

Skills & Competencies

  • Program & Project Management: structured thinking, governance design, milestone tracking, risk and issue management, executive communication.
  • SAP Functional: strong understanding of at least one S/4HANA module and broader awareness of cross-functional integration; familiarity with SAP Activate methodology.
  • Assurance & Quality: ability to assess program health objectively, identify red flags and provide clear, evidence-based findings to senior stakeholders.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management: confident communicating with C-suite and program board audiences; able to challenge constructively while maintaining relationships.
  • Business Development: entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable with proposal writing, client pitching, and relationship development.
  • Communication: excellent knowledge of English; good knowledge of Dutch and/or French
