Job description

  • Database: We leverage MySQL and MongoDB, giving us the flexibility to choose the right tool for the job when handling relational data or document storage.
  • Messaging: RabbitMQ is used for event-driven architecture, ensuring reliable communication between various services.
  • External API Layer: We also have an API layer, enabling seamless integration for external parties to connect and interact with our system.
  • Deployment: Everything is deployed in a Kubernetes environment, which allows for efficient scaling to meet demand, particularly during peak seasons.

Your team.

The team you will join primarily focuses on the creation of vacancies, playing a key part in developing the matcher domain that connects candidates with vacancies. You will also be part of the backend tribe that brings together backend developers across teams to share knowledge and expertise., * Analysis and Design: Evaluate technical options based on functional requirements; design technical analyses and documentation; estimate task complexity and scope.

  • Technical Implementation: Work with our tech stack: Node.js, TypeScript, mySQL, MongoDB, RabbitMQ; write and maintain efficient and readable code; interest in Kubernetes, Azure, infrastructure as code is a plus; perform miror front-end changes if needed is a plus; develop and maintain automated tests.
  • Collaboration: Communicate with developers, designers, integration partners, and product owners; share expertise with team members and assist in other areas when required; participate in daily stand-ups and code reviews within a Scrum team; actively participate, * A cosy office in Ghent, the cleanest city in East Flanders. Requirements

  • You have a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or equivalent by experience.
  • Strong ability to design and improve frameworks.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with relevant technologies.
  • Are you fluent and professional in Dutch and English.
  • You can switch quickly and like a lot of change.
  • Positive mindset and sense of responsibility.
  • Proactive and team oriented.
  • Eager to work in a fast-scaling platform.
  • Ability to work towards team objectives and deadlines.
