Belgium (Telecom / English): Database Engineer - Mysql, Cassandra, Postgres, Redis, Mongo with 3 years of experience(REF18)

As a Database engineer you will join @our Cloud and Infrastructure tribe and together with your peers contribute to extending our IT Infrastructure

We are looking for a driven professional with a strong affinity for database services and a real passion to connect and build suitable relationships with different clients and stakeholders. You will be responsible for building and delivering a variety of database related services to facilitate the need of our internal customers. You will be part of our "customer front door" squad that is constantly working on a wide scope of implementations using a diverse pallet of different technologies. In parallel, you will get continuous support from our database platform squad in combination with relevant service automation and/or know-how handover, where needed

Your Responsibilities :

• Translate business database demands into a cost-efficient IT solution composed of standardized (& preferable automated) DB components
• Build and deliver these solutions in a sprint timeboxed manner assuring high quality standards
• Collaborate with both "customer front door "and platform squads seeking improvement on the increments every quarter
• Promote DBaaS and impersonate our "Cloud First" strategy where suitable
• Participate in and contribute to our Agile ceremonies (e.g. sprint refinement, planning, review, …)

Clear Communication: You are an excellent communicator able to capture the essence & highlight the exact nature of matters + a true problem solver with an affinity for transparency

Experience: 3+ years working in a similar position.

• You have worked with or have a good understanding of databases like Percona/Mysql, Cassandra, Postgres, Redis, Mongo
• Knowledge on Oracle and Oracle GG are a plus
• Experience with Ansible, GitLab are a plus
