On-Premises & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

One of our clients is seeking an Senior On-Premises & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer. You'll ideally have experience in modern IT infrastructures, cloud technologies and system administration. The ideal candidate will support the design, implementation and operation of secure, scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions in on-premises and cloud environments.

This position is particularly suitable for a system engineer who wants to work with both classic data center technologies and modern cloud platforms.

Your tasks

• Implementation, operation and further development of on-premises and cloud infrastructure solutions
• Administration and operation of Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud environments
• Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows server and Linux systems
• Ensure security, compliance, performance, and availability of infrastructure
• Analysis and rectification of faults as well as support in incident management
• Collaboration in infrastructure projects, migrations and modernization initiatives
• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation as well as participation in the further development of operating standards

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and cloud technologies
• Experience in the administration of Windows Server environments, especially Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy
• Experience with PowerShell and/or Bash scripting
• Experience with VMware, Hyper-V or comparable virtualization platforms
• Good knowledge of networking, virtualization, storage and IT security
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Fluent German, * Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-104 or AZ-900
• Good knowledge of Linux administration
• Experience with Git and version management best practices
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools
• Experience in cloud migration or infrastructure transformation projects
• Fluent language and writing skills in Swiss German and English; French is an advantage.
