Tasks

• Lead a skilled backend team in networking and databases.
• Oversee stable operations of cloud platforms like Azure and AWS.
• Ensure continuous development and monitoring of backend systems., In this key role within our IT Operations organisation, you will lead two to three specialised departments both professionally and personally, while actively working in engineering. As an experienced ICT generalist, you are responsible for the further development of your areas. With your technical understanding, hands-on mentality and cooperative leadership style, you promote efficient and collaborative teamwork in a SAFe environment., * You take on the professional and disciplinary leadership of the backend team (approx. 6 employees) in the areas of network, Windows, Linux and databases
• You manage and are responsible for the stable operation and further development of the backend and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, on-prem & hybrid) including availability, security, monitoring and lifecycle management
• You ensure operational stability and continuous development of our backend platforms (lifecycle management, availability, monitoring, backup & restore, security)
• You work hands-on in the operation of Windows/Linux systems as well as Microsoft and hybrid backend services (Windows Server, Active Directory / Entra ID, Azure)
• You lead and coordinate operational and infrastructure projects and are responsible for changes, incidents and problems in 2nd and 3rd level support
• You contribute to the strategic development of our IT environment and actively bring in your ideas and technical know-how

• Proven experience in Windows/Linux servers and team leadership.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure and infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Kanban, SAFe, or Scrum methodologies., * Several years of practical experience in Windows and Linux servers, Microsoft Azure and infrastructure
• Experience in team leadership
• Knowledge of Amazon S3, shell scripting, Linux and hypervisors is an advantage
• Ideally, experience with modern and established methods such as Kanban, SAFe or Scrum
• High motivation to delve into complex systems and future trends
• Customer-oriented working style with good communication skills in German and English
