Job description

As Platform Engineer, you will help build, run and improve the technical platforms that enable TOMRA's software development, CI/CD, product security and machine learning activities.

This role is well suited for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, automating manual work, improving reliability and creating platforms that help development teams move faster and more securely.

  • Support the implementation and operation of platform infrastructure for software development and CI/CD
  • Hands-on setup and maintenance of on-premises R&D platform infrastructure like build servers, AI training and inference hardware
  • Help maintain Kubernetes clusters, virtual machines and shared engineering services
  • Contribute to infrastructure-as-code, GitOps workflows and platform automation
  • Support developer tooling and CI/CD services such as GitLab, Artifactory and related integrations
  • Assist in improving platform security, access control, system hardening and vulnerability handling
  • Automate repetitive operational tasks and improve the efficiency of engineering workflows
  • Monitor platform services, investigate incidents and support troubleshooting and root cause analysis

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows?, * Basic to solid understanding of Kubernetes, containers and modern platform infrastructure

  • Experience with automation, scripting or infrastructure as code
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines and software delivery workflows
  • Interest in platform security, secure software delivery and reliable operations
  • Experience with Bash, Python, PowerShell or similar scripting languages
  • Good English skills spoken and written
  • At least basic knowledge of German
  • Experience with GitLab, Artifactory, Kubernetes, Ceph or Azure is an advantage
  • Experience in mixed Linux and Windows environments is an advantage
  • Requires relevant education or vocational training in computer science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
