AWS Cloud Engineer - Networking AWS Cloud Engineer - Cloud Networking Role Overview As an AWS Cloud Engineer specializing in Networking, you will design, implement, and operate secure and scalable cloud network architectures within AWS. You will focus on VPC architecture, connectivity, routing, and network security, ensuring reliable connectivity between cloud services, hybrid environments, and application workloads. Key Responsibilities AWS Cloud Operations Operate and continuously improve the AWS platform with a focus on network architecture and connectivity Automate network infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and infrastructure automation Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes Network Engineering Design and maintain VPC architectures, subnets, routing tables, and security groups Implement DNS and routing services using Route 53 Configure hybrid DNS resolution using Route53 Resolver Manage connectivity solutions including VPN, Transit Gateway, and Direct Connect Configure and operate load balancing services (ALB/NLB) Troubleshoot complex network issues using VPC Flow Logs and traffic analysis Design and implement private connectivity using PrivateLink and VPC endpoints Manage IP address allocation using AWS IPAM Deploy AWS Network Firewall for stateful inspection and intrusion detection Maintain network segmentation and security boundaries Cross-Team Collaboration Work closely with system engineers and database teams to ensure secure connectivity Support onboarding of new workloads and accounts into the cloud network Maintain network architecture documentation and operational runbooks Skills & Experience Strong experience with AWS networking services Hands-on knowledge of VPC, Route 53, ALB/NLB, VPN, Transit Gateway Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and network security concepts Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Experience working in secure or regulated environments
