Job description
The System Architect / System Integration Lead serves as the senior technical authority responsible for the design, integration, testing, implementation, and sustainment of complex hardware, software, networking, cybersecurity, and edge-computing solutions supporting mission-critical operations. This position works directly with Government customers, program managers, engineers, software vendors, cybersecurity personnel, and end users to define requirements, develop system architectures, and deliver integrated technical solutions that meet operational objectives.
What You'll Do
- Analyze customer requirements and develop system specifications and technical roadmaps
- Lead hardware, software, and network architecture design efforts
- Manage system integration activities and conduct technical risk assessments
- Oversee testing, validation, deployment, and sustainment activities
- Support acquisition planning, technology evaluations, and proof-of-concept efforts
- Assess emerging technologies including AI, AR/VR, cloud, networking, cybersecurity, and edge-computing platforms
- Develop technical documentation and visual engineering products using Microsoft Visio and related tools
- Create system architecture diagrams, network topologies, data flow diagrams, cybersecurity boundary diagrams, operational workflows, and test architectures
- Interface with customer representatives, program offices, technical leads, and vendor partners to gather requirements and communicate project status
- Provide technical computer user support
- Provide technical leadership throughout the system lifecycle
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows Server administration?, * Experience with Windows system administration, including patch management, application support, scripting, logging, and services management
- Solid understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, routing, gateways, wireless communications, and network security
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, project management, and leadership skills
- Ability to independently resolve complex technical issues across hardware, software, networking, and cybersecurity domains
- Proven ability to simplify and visualize complex technical solutions for program managers, senior leadership, and customers
- Strong communication and customer engagement skills
- Active Secret Security Clearance required
Highly Desired Experience
- Experience supporting cybersecurity requirements including HBSS, ACAS, IAVA/IAVB compliance, and vulnerability management
- Familiarity with Department of Defense cybersecurity policies
- Experience with AI, AR/VR, cloud, and edge-computing platforms
- Required cybersecurity certifications (e.g., Security+, CISSP)
- Prior experience supporting DoD or NAVAIR program, * Windows systems administration: 5 years (Preferred)

This position is location is on site in California, MD and offers a salary range of $145,000 to $165,000 annually, depending on experience.
