Job description

The Sr. Salesforce Platform Engineer plays a critical role in designing, building, and optimizing core platform capabilities to support enterprise business applications. This position focuses on developing scalable, secure, and high-performing Salesforce platform solutions, including reusable components, integration frameworks, and automation strategies. The engineer partners closely with cross-functional teams to drive platform stability, efficiency, and innovation through best practices, architecture standards, and modern DevOps methodologies., * Design, engineer, implement, and configure Salesforce platform services aligned with enterprise architecture and best practices

  • Develop reusable platform patterns for logging, monitoring, alerting, backup, encryption, and tooling across all layers
  • Build and maintain APIs, integrations, and connectors between Salesforce and third-party applications
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define and clarify integration scope and platform requirements
  • Configure and manage Salesforce components including custom objects, fields, dashboards, workflows, automations, and triggers
  • Optimize and implement Salesforce Flows, including screen flows and login flows
  • Administer and maintain Salesforce security models in alignment with governance and compliance requirements
  • Improve platform architecture, performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
  • Contribute to platform and architectural roadmaps and long-term strategy
  • Provide Tier 3 support, troubleshoot issues, and resolve platform defects
  • Evaluate Salesforce releases and assess system impact
  • Automate deployment pipelines using CI/CD and DevOps best practices to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes
  • Lead solution design sessions, estimate development efforts, and present technical solutions
  • Maintain documentation for platform components, integrations, and best practices
  • Provide training, coaching, and guidance to engineering and product teams

Requirements

Do you have experience in Version control?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, ANACI clearance will be required for this role - all candidates must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder for a minimum of one year to be eligible for this federal background check, * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

  • 5+ years of experience working with Salesforce platforms in engineering or development roles
  • Proven experience delivering Salesforce solutions from design through production
  • Experience working within Agile or SAFe environments preferred
  • Salesforce certifications are a plus

Skills Required:

  • Strong expertise in Salesforce security models, integration patterns, and flow optimization
  • Advanced proficiency in Apex development, including triggers, classes, batch jobs, and asynchronous processing
  • Experience with Salesforce DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, Salesforce CLI, version control, and sandbox strategies
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce data modeling, architecture, large data volumes, and performance optimization
  • Experience with automated testing, SFDX test frameworks, and quality engineering practices
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices, governance frameworks, and compliance standards
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with cloud, on-premise, and SaaS environments
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell or shell scripting
  • Experience with Git-based tools (e.g., GitLab) and modern development workflows
  • Working knowledge of AWS and cloud-based infrastructure preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud is preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated collaboration, adaptability, and critical thinking abilities
