Job description

  • Develop and maintain backend services using JavaScript, Node.js, and Node-Red
  • Build and optimize cloud-based data pipelines using AWS Glue, Lambda, S3, RDS, EventBridge, Step Functions
  • Implement distributed data processing with Spark and Python (PySpark)
  • Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases, including partitioning and indexing
  • Containerize and deploy applications using Docker
  • Manage virtual environments and ensure consistent deployment workflows
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions

Requirements

Do you have experience in System performance optimization?, We are seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer to support a major federal data modernization initiative. This role blends backend engineering, cloud automation, and data pipeline optimization in a high-impact environment., * 4-6 years of software engineering experience

  • Strong experience with JavaScript, Node.js, Python (PySpark)
  • Hands-on experience with AWS serverless and data services
  • Strong SQL skills and Postgres performance tuning
  • Experience with Spark, Docker, and environment management
  • Must be a US Citizen and able to work hybrid in Reston, VA
