Job description
- Develop and maintain an overarching technology vision that supports the organization's long-term business strategy, operational priorities, scalability, employee, and customer experience.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for software evaluation and selection, ensuring new solutions fit within the broader enterprise architecture.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders and other business functions to understand needs, identify pain points, and recommend practical technology solutions that optimize existing architecture. Ensure that technology strategy supports business priorities while respecting the expertise, accountability, and decision rights of functional leaders.
- Lead efforts to improve NetSuite ERP performance, usability, integrations, reporting, workflows, and overall business value.
- Oversee integrations between NetSuite and other key organizational systems, ensuring reliable data flow, system stability, appropriate controls, and scalable architecture.
- Evaluate and manage third-party vendors and service providers (including SAAS) to ensure alignment with organizational standards and budgets.
- Provide leadership for software development, scripting, automation, integrations, and technical projects. Set expectations for documentation, code quality, responsiveness, stakeholder service, security awareness, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain enough hands-on technical depth to review code, understand architecture, evaluate technical tradeoffs, and get into the details of how systems and services work.
- Guide developers in adopting AI-enabled tools and workflows to improve productivity, documentation, testing, prototyping, and solution design.
- Develop a foundational organizational AI enablement strategy that considers business value, security, data privacy, accuracy, governance, and change management.
- Lead technology projects using clear project management practices, sprint structures, defined deliverables, and transparent communication.
- Package requirements effectively by translating business needs into clear technical specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, timelines, and implementation plans.
- Establish sprint planning, backlog management, prioritization inputs, demos, retrospectives, and accountability structures where appropriate.
- Ensure responsibilities are clearly delineated across developers, vendors, internal stakeholders, business owners, and project sponsors.
- Communicate technology concepts in simple, clear, business-oriented language that supports understanding, adoption, and decision-making.
- Promote a collaborative approach to technology change, balancing vision with a thoughtful analysis of change management.
- Create a team culture that values technical excellence, business partnership, curiosity, accountability, and service to the organization.
- Stay current on trends in business, technology, security, and software relevant to distribution and supply chain management, identifying technologies that may provide a competitive advantage.
- Respect confidentiality in discussing internal matters related to information technology.
- Participate in fostering an organizational culture that values innovation, promotes inclusion, and inspires excellence in the work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
