Job description

  • Join a high-performing Agile team supporting mission-critical geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) applications for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).

  • Lead the design and implementation of CI/CD and DevSecOps solutions that enable secure, scalable, and resilient software delivery.

  • Drive automation, platform engineering, and cloud modernization efforts supporting critical national security missions.

  • Collaborate with software engineers, cybersecurity professionals, architects, and government stakeholders to improve software delivery and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of CI/CD pipelines supporting enterprise software delivery.
  • Architect and maintain DevOps platforms, automation frameworks, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions.
  • Design and support containerized and cloud-native environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies.
  • Champion DevSecOps best practices, including automated security scanning, compliance validation, and vulnerability management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across development, infrastructure, deployment, and operational environments.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers while promoting DevOps best practices across the program.
  • Contribute to technical roadmaps, architecture decisions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI clearance required with ability to obtain Poly
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience supporting software development, DevOps, platform engineering, site reliability engineering (SRE), or system administration activities.
  • Extensive experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.
  • Strong experience with Linux administration, scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell), and Git-based source control.
  • Experience designing and supporting containerized environments using Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies.
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of Agile development practices, DevOps methodologies, cloud-native architectures, and secure software delivery principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor engineering teams.

Desired

  • Experience supporting NGA, DoD, Intelligence Community, or other federal government customers.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
  • Experience implementing enterprise DevSecOps practices and security-focused software delivery pipelines.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, ELK, or similar platforms.

Since this position can be worked in more than one location, the range shown is the national average for the position.

The proposed salary range for this position is: $98,500-$206,800
