Your expertise will drive the implementation of robust security measures, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as NIST and ISO 27000. If you thrive in fast-paced settings and are passionate about safeguarding information systems, this opportunity is for you! You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop secure network architectures, conduct vulnerability assessments, and respond swiftly to security incidents. Your proactive approach will help us stay ahead of emerging threats while supporting our mission to maintain a resilient and secure digital landscape., * Design, implement, and manage network security solutions including firewalls (Cisco ASA), IDS/IPS (Intrusion Detection Systems), VPNs, and SIEM tools like Splunk or New Relic to monitor threats effectively.

  • Conduct vulnerability research, assessments, and penetration testing aligned with industry standards such as NIST and ISO 27000 to identify and mitigate risks proactively.
  • Maintain and enhance IT infrastructure security by configuring network protocols (TCP/IP, IPsec), routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and network devices (Cisco routers, Juniper).
  • Develop and enforce system security plans, hardening procedures (using SELinux, system hardening techniques), and incident response protocols in accordance with FISMA, FedRAMP, or DISA guidelines.
  • Manage identity & access management systems utilizing LDAP, Active Directory, SSO solutions, and PKI for secure authentication across cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Support disaster recovery planning by implementing high availability configurations (load balancing, VMware vSphere) and conducting incident recovery exercises to ensure business continuity.
  • Collaborate with development teams on DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines using Ansible, Terraform, and automation tools to embed security into software deployment processes.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN architecture, network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS), routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF), and network support tools.
  • Hands-on experience with firewall management (Cisco ASA), IDS/IPS systems, VPN technologies (IPsec, SSL VPN), and network monitoring solutions like SolarWinds or PRTG.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST standards, ISO 27000 series (including ISO <LOCATION> standards), COBIT, DIACAP, RMF & FISMA compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation tasks along with system administration skills on Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian) and Windows environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure) including cloud architecture design principles for secure PaaS/IaaS deployment.
  • Experience conducting threat detection & response activities using SIEM tools; performing vulnerability assessments; analyzing logs; and managing incident management workflows.
  • Knowledge of encryption techniques such as FIPS standards; open-source security tools; system hardening practices; and openSUSE or Solaris operating systems is a plus. Embark on a journey to strengthen our cybersecurity defenses! Bring your expertise in computer science principles-especially in network engineering-and your passion for protecting critical information assets. We value proactive problem solvers who thrive in collaborative environments committed to continuous improvement through Agile methodologies.
