Job description
The Cloud Solutions Architect supports planning, design, governance, implementation, modernization, and operational readiness of cloud, application, infrastructure, integration, data, and platform solutions.
This role translates business, program, security, privacy, integration, reporting, accessibility, and operational requirements into scalable, secure, compliant, cost-effective, and supportable solution designs.
Works closely with IT leadership, program management, business analysis, enterprise teams, vendors, and operational teams to align technology decisions with standards and long-term sustainability., Architecture Strategy & Governance
- Provide technical architecture leadership across initiatives and project activities
- Develop and maintain architecture across cloud, application, infrastructure, integration, data, and platforms
- Apply a reuse-first approach leveraging existing enterprise solutions
- Identify risks, dependencies, duplications, and provide recommendations
- Align architecture decisions with organizational standards and priorities
Cloud & Technical Architecture

Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions

Work with AWS services including:

EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, WAF
-
CloudFront, ALB/NLB, CloudTrail, CloudWatch
-
Lambda, Fargate, API Gateway, ECS, EKS
Support:
- Cloud networking and environment strategy
- Serverless architecture, containerization, microservices
- Event-driven and service-oriented architecture
- Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD pipelines
Provide architecture guidance for applications, APIs, integrations, and data flow
Review enterprise technologies including:
- Salesforce, MuleSoft, Tableau, Snowflake
- GitHub, Oracle Identity Management
- IBM DataPower, Oracle Service Bus
- Java/J2EE, Tomcat, Apache, Spring
Data & Integration
- Evaluate data flows, reporting needs, and system dependencies
- Ensure data quality, governance, and interoperability
- Design integration patterns, APIs, and data exchange solutions
Security, Privacy & Compliance

- Review vendor architecture, implementation plans, and deliverables
- Ensure alignment with standards, scalability, and operational readiness
- Support deployment, migration, testing, and post-implementation activities
Documentation & Governance

Maintain architecture artifacts, diagrams, and documentation

Document:

Integration designs, APIs, data flows, and dependencies

Architecture decisions, risks, and reuse analysis
Ensure documentation supports governance, audits, and operational readiness
Requirements
-
5-7 years of experience in architecture roles (cloud, enterprise, or application)

8-10 years of overall IT experience

Strong experience designing and deploying AWS-based solutions

Experience with:
-
Cloud networking
-
Infrastructure-as-Code (CloudFormation / Terraform)

CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
Experience creating architecture documentation and technical designs
Strong understanding of:
- Enterprise architecture, cloud architecture, and middleware
- Security, disaster recovery, and compliance
Experience working with cross-functional teams and vendors
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, * Experience in healthcare, public sector, or government environments

Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF)

Experience with:

Middleware and integration platforms
Knowledge of:
- Microservices, serverless, containerization
- API management and interoperability
Experience with vendor-led implementations and modernization initiatives
Familiarity with:

Relevant certifications (preferred):
- AWS Solutions Architect
- Azure / Google Cloud Architect
- TOGAF, ITIL, CISSP, CCSP
