Job description
This position will be customized based on the candidate's experience and skill set. Responsibilities may range from hands-on IT support and break/fix work to software development, systems architecture, AI implementation, and enterprise integrations.
Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure & Support
- Provide day-to-day technical support for employees across multiple offices.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, printer, phone, and workstation issues.
- Manage user onboarding and offboarding, including device setup and account provisioning.
- Maintain security standards, software licensing, backups, and system documentation.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors and technology partners.
Systems Integration & Automation
- Develop and maintain API integrations between internal and external systems.
- Manage EDI connectivity with customers, carriers, and technology providers.
- Automate repetitive operational processes using scripting, workflow tools, and custom applications.
- Improve data flow between McLeod, Salesforce, Power BI, customer portals, and other business systems.
Software Development
- Design, develop, and maintain internal applications and tools.
- Create dashboards, reporting solutions, and operational workflows.
- Support database management and data architecture initiatives.
- Participate in software selection, implementation, and customization projects.
Artificial Intelligence & Emerging Technology
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI throughout the business.
- Develop AI-powered tools to improve productivity, customer service, sales, and operations.
- Implement workflow automation using modern AI platforms and APIs.
- Evaluate new technologies and recommend solutions that improve scalability and efficiency.
Strategic Technology Initiatives
- Assist leadership in defining and executing the company's technology roadmap.
- Recommend process improvements and system enhancements.
- Serve as a bridge between operations, sales, accounting, and technology teams.
- Help scale technology infrastructure to support continued company growth.
Requirements
- Experience with IT support, help desk, or break/fix environments.
- Knowledge of networking, Windows administration, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and endpoint management.
- Experience with software development using Python, JavaScript, C#, SQL, or similar technologies.
- Experience working with APIs, web services, and systems integrations.
- Understanding of EDI transactions and transportation/logistics technology.
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI.
- Familiarity with AI tools, machine learning concepts, prompt engineering, and workflow automation platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
