Senior ServiceNow Developer

A client of Insight Global is seeking a ServiceNow IRM/GRC Developer to support the design, development, and delivery of enterprise risk and compliance solutions. This individual will play a key role in building and enhancing ServiceNow capabilities across IRM, GRC, and TPRM modules, including Policy & Compliance, Risk Management, Audit Management, and Vendor Risk Management. This resource will be responsible for executing backlog stories end-to-end, including requirements grooming, technical design, development, testing, and deployment. They will design and configure ServiceNow components such as workflows, business rules, script includes, UI policies, client scripts, scheduled jobs, and dashboards tailored to risk and compliance use cases. Additionally, they will build and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, and IntegrationHub. A key aspect of this role includes evaluating and implementing AI-enabled capabilities within ServiceNow, such as intelligent risk/control mapping, automated evidence intake and summarization, and workflow automation with human-in-the-loop validation. The developer will assess tools like Predictive Intelligence, Virtual Agent, AI Search, and generative AI features, translating business use cases into secure, scalable technical solutions. The candidate will work closely with product managers, stakeholders, and development teams in an Agile/Scrum environment, participating in ceremonies such as sprint planning, standups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives. They will communicate technical decisions clearly and contribute to peer code reviews while enforcing best practices and governance standards.

• 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience
• Strong experience with IRM, GRC, and/or TPRM modules
• Experience with Policy & Compliance, Risk, Audit, or Vendor Risk Management
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide APIs, Flow Designer, and ServiceNow scripting
• Experience building integrations using REST, SOAP, IntegrationHub, MID Server
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Knowledge of GRC frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, COBIT, etc.)
• Experience with ACLs, role-based access, and ServiceNow security best practices
• Ability to design workflows (Business Rules, Flows, Script Includes, UI policies, etc.)
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience with ServiceNow AI (Predictive Intelligence, Virtual Agent, Now Assist, AI Search)
• Experience implementing AI or GenAI use cases in GRC environments
• Certifications (CIS-RC), (VRM) (CAD)
