Job description

  • Manage and resolve security issues within the operational ticket queue, ensuring swift triage and resolution.
  • Coordinate operational security changes with the corporate information security team.
  • Assist lead engineers in developing methods to improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with technical staff across departments concerning security-related operational changes.
  • Participate in triage efforts during operational events.
  • Manage individual projects and identify opportunities for process and security improvements.
  • Develop and implement security solutions, including vendor-specific configurations, with a focus on Palo Alto Networks and Juniper.
  • Explore and apply Zero Trust principles to current and future architectures.
  • Maintain awareness of business, security, and operational requirements to build effective security solutions.

Requirements

Candidates should possess at least a bachelor's degree and relevant industry certifications such as Security+, PCNSA, CCNA, or Azure Security Engineer Associate. Advanced degrees or relevant experience can also fulfill the qualifications., Secret clearance is highly preferred, with the ability to obtain and maintain this clearance required., * Minimum of 5 years of related cybersecurity experience with a bachelor's degree, or 3 years with a master's degree, or comparable experience.

  • Proven knowledge of networks, TCP/IP, and core internet technologies.
  • Exposure to industry vendors such as Palo Alto Networks, Juniper, or Cisco.
  • Experience working with cloud security solutions like Azure and AWS.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python.
  • Ability to obtain and sustain a Secret clearance.
  • Experience with automation tools like Ansible or Terraform is a plus.
  • Industry security certifications are preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of network topologies including switching, routing, and protocols.
  • Prior experience with automation technologies and industry vendors.
  • Demonstrated eagerness to learn and adapt within evolving cybersecurity landscapes.
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust architectures and their practical application.
  • Experience in security certifications such as Security+, PCNSA, CCNA, or Azure Security Engineer Associate.
