Job description
Provide support, expertise, and advisement to leadership in the overall development, planning, establishment, and implementation of CRC operational employment of mission support functions.
-Provide oversight of entire lifecycle of CRC mission support equipment, from acquisition and deployment to maintenance, upgrades, and eventual decommissioning. Develop and maintain lifecycle management plans and metrics management for mission support equipment and systems. Provide leadership with monthly metrics.
-Provide analytical and technical support for all CRC mission support equipment and recommend options and solutions to manage and improve CRC processes, procedures, and doctrine; manning levels; efficiency and effectiveness; equipment capabilities; training requirements.
-Review, develop, prepare and execute sustainment strategies, maintenance concepts, and fielding plans for new systems equipment modifications and changes to legacy CRC equipment.
-Liaise with system program offices, MAJCOM counterparts, other agencies on staff to remain current on CRC weapon system (WS) capabilities, developments and initiatives; advise branch leadership on policies and positions.
-Coordinate with subordinate units to assess product improvement and deficiencies. Develop and recommend modifications to CRC equipment to leadership to improve operational capability and to resolve maintenance, logistics, and training issues.
-Participate as a mission support SME in CRC related exercises, tests, experimentation, table top and staff level events contributing to the sustainment and modernization of the CRC and associated infrastructure.
-Actively participate in strategic planning to improve organizational direction and focus using strategic planning tools and techniques. Coordinate with branch leadership to recommend A3C's position.
-Develop, analyze, and validate requirement documentation such as AF Form 1067, Functional Capability Documents, and similar acquisition/modification documentation. Coordinate with branch leadership to recommend A3C's position.
-Obtain and maintain access to relevant equipment accounting and equipment status reporting systems to ensure accuracy, availability, and oversight of inventories, reporting status, and program management office coordination.
-In coordination with the CRC Functional Management task, identify emerging and/or deficient equipment, maintenance procedures, sustainment considerations for CRC mission support personnel UTCs. Additionally, provide periodic reports on equipment, maintenance, and sustainment outcomes with UTC impact and recommendations for improvement.
-Assist in reviewing, developing and preparing training inputs for CRC mission support personnel to support the CRC readiness and training programs.
-In coordination with the CRC Training Support task, identify emerging and/or deficient training for CRC mission support personnel. Develop and recommend mitigation strategies to address identified risks and ensure training objectives are met without compromising operational readiness of mission support functions. Additionally, provide branch leadership with periodic reports on outcomes and recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
Experience within one of the following mission support or maintenance USAF AFSC's or a comparable DoW equivalent AFSC: USAF Radar, Airfield & Weather Systems (AF AFSC 1C8), Electrical Systems (AF AFSC 2E0), Logistics Plans (AF AFSC 2G0), Material Management (AF AFSC 2S0), Vehicle Management (AF AFSC 2T3), Electrical Power Production (AF AFSC 3E0), HVAC - Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (AF AFSC 3E1), or Cyber Defense Operations (AF AFSC 1D7) (10 Years) OR Experience as Cyberspace Operations Officer (AF AFSC 17D) or comparable DoW equivalent AFSC with focus on ground radios or radar maintenance (10 Years)
-Experience with CRC weapons system or comparable DoW equivalent mission support or maintenance functions; overall CRC weapons system operations, capabilities, developments and initiatives, sustainment, and organizational structure (3 Years)
-Experience with maintenance/sustainment/logistics functions and the USAF Lifecycle Sustainment Processes (3 Years)
-Experience with USAF provisioning processes, technical order development, maintenance training, and allowance source requirements development and review (3 Years)
-Relevant experience as a project and/or program manager with demonstrated ability to perform as a senior level expert and serve as a senior project lead (4 Years)
-Experience working within a USAF Headquarters Staff environment at the NAF, MAJCOM, or above level, with experience producing decision documents, developing and presenting staff-level briefings, building staff packages, coordinating actions across staff directorates and major command elements, and interfacing with senior USAF leadership and external staffs (3 Years)
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications and platforms, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint, with the ability to produce professional documents, briefings, data analyses, and collaborative workspaces in support of senior leadership, Self-motivated Ability to maintain an extreme sense of urgency in all interactions with the customer Exceptional email management and written communication skills Solution-oriented Ability to research, analyze, and create viable solutions Strong technical attitude and ability to quickly learn and apply technical knowledge Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to multi-task
