Job description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Administrator with a strong foundation in Cisco technologies to join our infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for provisioning, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting our enterprise network environment., * Configuration & Deployment: Set up, configure, and install Cisco switches, routers, and wireless access points (APs) in alignment with company standards.
- Monitoring & Maintenance: Monitor network performance, traffic, and alerts using network management tools to ensure maximum uptime and preemptive troubleshooting.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve localized and wide-area network performance and connectivity issues (LAN/WAN).
- Security & Compliance: Assist in implementing network security policies, managing Access Control Lists (ACLs), and applying regular firmware/IOS updates and security patches.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate topology diagrams, IP addressing schemas, configuration backups, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Collaboration: Work alongside senior network engineers on infrastructure projects, upgrades, and cloud connectivity initiatives.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a solid grasp of core routing and switching concepts, hand-on experience with Cisco IOS, and a passion for maintaining high network availability and performance., * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a dedicated network administration or robust helpdesk/desktop support role with networking responsibilities.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Solid understanding of OSI model, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
- Experience configuring routing protocols (such as OSPF or EIGRP) and switching concepts (STP, EtherChannel).
- Familiarity with network security fundamentals (Firewalls, VPNs, NAT).
- Tools: Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark, Cisco DNA Center/Catalyst Center)., * Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is highly preferred or actively being pursued.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for documenting technical processes.
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergency support.
- A proactive mindset toward automation, network efficiency, and learning new technologies.
