Job description
Reporting to the Web Developer, the Web Designer is responsible for building the visual and UX foundation of our in-house website program. In the first 120 days, this person will develop brand and design standards, build a reusable component library in Figma, design core page templates, and deliver designs for the first sites rebuilt on our master WordPress template. The ideal candidate brings a strong eye for conversion-focused design, deep experience with Figma and WordPress, and the discipline to build systems that scale across a large, multi-brand portfolio., Design Standards & Systems
- Collaborate with the creative team to develop and document typography, color, spacing, and component standards across Apex brands
- Build a reusable component and block design library in Figma, aligned to the master WordPress template, covering heroes, services, forms, CTAs, and more
- Establish, document, and apply mobile-first design standards consistently across site templates
- Document CRO best practices covering forms, CTAs, hero structure, and social proof placement for use across the team
Site Design & Delivery
- Conduct a visual consistency, UX, and brand audit of in-house sites, delivering a prioritized action list to the Web Developer and leadership
- Design 8 to 10 core page templates including home, service, location, contact, blog, and others
- Deliver full site designs on the master template, targeting three or more completed site designs within the first 120 days
- Own the design-to-dev handoff process, including a documented workflow with specs, assets, and review checkpoints
Collaboration & Quality
- Work closely with the Web Developer to ensure designs are technically feasible and align with the WordPress block library
- Partner with the Content Writer to ensure design templates support content frameworks and brand voice across all page types
- Maintain design quality and visual consistency across a growing portfolio of in-house sites
- Serve as the cross-functional design voice in conversations with SEO, PPC, and Analytics teams
Requirements
Do you have experience in monday.com?, * 3+ years of experience in web design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating UX, visual design, and conversion-focused thinking
- Proficiency in Figma, including component libraries, auto-layout, and developer handoff flows
- Solid understanding of WordPress and how design systems translate into block-based themes and page builders
- Strong grasp of mobile-first design principles and responsive layout best practices
- Knowledge of CRO principles, including form design, CTA placement, and user behavior patterns
- Ability to work within brand guidelines across multiple brands and maintain visual consistency
- Strong communication skills; comfortable presenting design decisions to executives
- Experience working in a multi-location or home services environment a plus
- Familiarity with ADA accessibility standards and web design compliance a plus
- Experience with project management tools such as Monday.com a plus

Pay Transparency
The annual pay opportunity for this role ranges from $65,000 to $80,000 DOE. The actual pay is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands.
