Job description
This is a 100% onsite position located in Melbourne, Florida. The selected candidate may be required to participate in weekend, after-hours, or on-call rotations to support operational requirements and may occasionally travel to a disaster recovery site during emergencies., Act as the primary engineering support for enterprise security gateway access control, baseline configuration management, and system performance testing to ensure compliance with customer requirements. Conduct and analyze network packet captures, interpret findings, and communicate results to technical teams and stakeholders. Support the full lifecycle development of security products and services, including concept, design, testing, installation, operations, maintenance, and retirement. Support Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) security architectures to ensure compliance with customer-tailored NIST security controls. Manage, maintain, and provide Tier 2 engineering support for enterprise security infrastructure, including: Web Application Firewall (WAF) Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) Global and Local Load Balancers Firewalls API Gateway Develop internal requirements, Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), and Interface Control Documents (ICDs) base on customer and product requirements. Develop, maintain, and publish network security technical documentation in accordance with Systems Engineering processes.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT Security, or a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience, OR Master's degree in the same field with 0-2 years of relevant experience. Minimum 1 year of networking experience, including: Data flow principles Troubleshooting complex customer issues Minimum 1 year of experience with: Routing protocols VPNs VLANs SPANs Trunk and Access Ports TCP/IP OSI Model Minimum 1 year of experience working with engineering processes, including NIST SP 800-160 Volume 1. Ability to obtain FAA Public Trust Suitability., Experience with network security technologies, including: Firewalls Routers Switches Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) Web Application Firewalls (WAF) VPN technologies Experience implementing customer-tailored NIST and FISMA security controls. Experience collecting and analyzing system logs and event data, performing root cause analysis using device logs and SIEM tools. Experience using Linux and Windows command-line tools. Prior experience supporting Federal Telecommunications or Network Security environments. Networking certifications such as: Cisco Juniper CompTIA Network+ Security certifications such as: CompTIA Security+ CISSP GIAC Vendor-specific security certifications Must-Have Skills Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related technical field. Networking fundamentals and troubleshooting. TCP/IP, OSI Model, VLANs, VPNs, SPANs, Routing Protocols. NIST SP 800-160 Vol. 1 knowledge. Packet capture and network traffic analysis. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to obtain FAA Public Trust Suitability.
