VMware Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking an Internal Cloud Virtualization Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in VMware vSphere/ESXi, VM lifecycle management, Linux workloads, and automation tooling and a proven ability to design, build, and operate resilient, high-availability virtualization platforms supporting production workloads., * Design, build, and operate virtualization platforms that underpin the Internal Cloud compute layer.

• Ensure day-to-day performance, availability, and resiliency of VM-based production workloads.
• Execute platform changes, patching, and remediation activities using standardized procedures.
• Configure and maintain virtualization clusters, including VMware ESXi and vSAN components.
• Troubleshoot incidents and support workload onboarding to the Internal Cloud.
• Leverage automation tools and templates to drive consistent and reliable operations.

• Primary skill: VMware ESXi. Secondary skill: VMware vSAN. Tertiary skill: Networking.
• 5-7 years of hands-on experience operating enterprise virtualization platforms.
• Strong expertise in VMware vSphere/ESXi, VM lifecycle management, and Linux workloads.
• Experience supporting high-availability, performance-sensitive, 24x7 environments.
• Working knowledge of automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and scripting applied to virtualization.

Preferred Skills:

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or equivalent certification.
• 5-7+ years supporting large-scale VM or private cloud environments.
• Experience with hyperconverged infrastructure, capacity optimization, or workload placement.
• Exposure to internal cloud or hybrid cloud operating models.
