Job description

This position supports the advancement, integration, and operational effectiveness of the utility's SCADA, ADMS, and OMS platforms by ensuring accurate and reliable integration of GIS, CIS, and AMI data and improving associated operational workflows.

  • Enhances system performance, management, and efficiency through, process documentation, training, and improvement initiatives.
  • Support enhancement of SCADA into integrated Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) platform.
  • Coordinate, review, validate, and maintain integration of critical data including CIS, GIS, and AMI to ensure accuracy, reliability, and effectiveness within ADMS, OMS and Mobile Work Management (MWM) applications.
  • Support OMS integrations and processes involving CIS and AMI systems.
  • Analyze, document, and improve process flows for efficiency, consistency, and cross-departmental coordination.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, standards, and workflow procedures.
  • Provide training and operational guidance on system use, workflows, and data management.
  • Assist with system audits, data quality reviews, and operational support activities.

Requirements

Do you have experience in GIS?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Utility Management, Business Administration or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of three years of experience supporting systems such as SCADA, ADMS, OMS, GIS, CIS, MWM, AMI, electric utility operations, outage management, or distribution system environments preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to train staff.

  • Paid holidays, This full-time position reports to the Manager of Engineering and System Planning and is located at the Ed Fischer Operations Center, 8600 NE 117th Avenue, Vancouver, WA 98662. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm., Employees and dependents are eligible for medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance and disability insurance. Employees are enrolled in Washington State PERS and may enroll in deferred compensation plans. Employees will also receive eight hours of vacation leave and sick leave every month and twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year., Salary ranges are market based and established annually. With full competency in the role and satisfactory performance, the target is midpoint within the established range.
