Job description
You'll write code that moves money in production, build and modernize the platform across the stack, and ship customer-facing features as Xe rebuilds its platform layer. You'll work in a small engineering team with direct access to product, design, and compliance, own services in production, make design decisions within your domain, and partner with architects and team leads on bigger design decisions., * Build and ship features across the stack that move money and manage multi-currency balances across a range of domains, including onboarding, KYC and KYB, payment initiation, FX, settlement, and other supporting services.
- Ship customer-facing features that customers use every day, from the interface through to the services behind them.
- Own your services in production, including reliability, observability, on-call, and incident response.
- Partner with product, design, and compliance from problem framing through launch.
- Use agentic coding tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent) daily across prototyping, refactoring, testing, and documentation.
- Help modernize the platform by taking parts from legacy services into the modern stack, alongside architects and team leads in your domain.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Web applications?, We're hiring a mid-level full-stack engineer who likes owning real problems end-to-end, from API design and frontend experience through to backend services, production reliability, and launch. You already use AI as part of how you think, build, test, and ship., Must-have
- 3 to 6 years building production web applications, end-to-end.
- Strong frontend proficiency with Vue.js, React, or equivalent.
- Strong backend proficiency in C# / .NET preferred; other OOP languages welcome (Java, Kotlin, Go, or equivalent).
- Solid SQL and relational database fundamentals.
- Writing and maintaining tests as part of how you ship.
- Daily use of agentic coding tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent) across the SDLC.
- Production experience on AWS, including hands-on deployment and native services such as SQS, DynamoDB, S3, ECS, and Lambda.
- Solid CS fundamentals and pragmatic system design.
- Strong communication and collaboration across engineering, product, and design.
Nice-to-have
- Payments, FX, or regulated-industry experience.
- Service-oriented or microservices architecture experience.
- CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices.
- Frontend fundamentals: responsive design, accessibility, web performance, and internationalization.
- Experience with caching solutions like Memcached or Redis.
- Experience using project management and documentation tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman or Bruno.
- Writing automated tests alongside development with AI tools (Claude Code or equivalent).

XE offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The reasonable estimated pay for this role ranges from $83,800 USD to $124,500 USD. Actual compensation is based upon factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
