Job description
As a PROJECT - Security Engineer III on the Enterprise Security team, you will be responsible for:
Drive secure platform modernization for mission systems across classified and multi-environment deployments, helping clients transition from on-premises infrastructure to AWS GovCloud. In this role, you will support DevSecOps automation, CI/CD modernization, containerized services, and infrastructure-as-code solutions in high-security environments. You will also help strengthen enterprise Linux platforms to improve deployment consistency, security compliance, and operational efficiency while supporting accreditation activities across complex mission settings.
- Designing, building, and evolving secure platform capabilities supporting mission systems across classified and multi-environment deployments
- Modernizing infrastructure from on-premises environments to Amazon Web Services GovCloud in alignment with Impact Level 5 and security compliance requirements
- Leading automation and DevSecOps efforts, including transition of legacy tooling to GitLab and Ansible-based continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines
- Developing and maintaining containerized services, Python and Bash automation, and infrastructure-as-code solutions supporting provisioning, authentication, and user management
- Hardening, patching, and sustaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments to meet Defense Information Systems Agency Security Technical Implementation Guide standards and support accreditation activities across Secret through Special Access Program environments

This role has a requirement to be onsite 5 days a week in Colorado Springs, CO.

Ability to travel 20%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

3+ years of experience with the following:
-
Experience working in a DOW and or cyber program
-
Experience using Agile software development methodology
-
Experience supporting cloud infrastructure
-
Experience building, maintaining, or supporting continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
Preferred:
- CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Security Manager® (CISM), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95,600 to $159,300.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
