Job description
About usWe build Speed Survivor, a real-time, real-money sports-prediction game. Players join contests tied to live games, answer fast yes/no props, and get scored on speed and accuracy until one survivor takes the prize. It's a small team shipping fast across a mobile app, a couple of Python services, an admin panel, and a payments site. You'll touch a lot of the stack and see your work in users' hands within days. What you'll do
- Build and ship features in our React Native + Expo mobile app (TypeScript): screens, navigation, onboarding flows, in-game UI, and social features.
- Fix bugs and triage crashes from Sentry. Reproduce, find the root cause, and ship the fix.
- Make small-to-medium backend changes in our Python/FastAPI services backed by PostgreSQL.
- Help maintain our internal React/Vite admin panel with contest setup, test tooling, data pipelines, etc.
- Turn Figma designs into clean, consistent UI and polish rough edges (spacing, transitions, empty/error states).
- Help with day-to-day release work: running iOS/Android builds, chasing down native build issues, and getting changes deployed.
Requirements
- ?0-2 years, or strong bootcamp/self-taught with a portfolio
- Strong AI dev skills. Use Cursor or Claude Code effectively but still able to talk through and explain your code. Being able to use it as a tool but not over-reliant.
- Solid JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals and some hands-on React Native
- Comfortable reading code you didn't write and tracing a bug across the front end and an API.
- Basic Git workflow and the ability to work independently from a written task.
- High ownership and scrappy, but not afraid to ask questions.
- Cares about the user-facing result, not just "the ticket is closed."
Nice to have (not required)
- Any Python (FastAPI a bonus) and basic SQL / PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with Firebase Auth, Sentry, or mobile app store submission.
- Exposure to real-time systems (WebSockets/SSE), or any sports/gaming/fintech product.
Benefits & conditions
- Small team, direct access to the founder, fast feedback loops.
- High ownership over deliverables with easy access to support and mentorship
- You'll be supported with clear tasks and code review, with room to grow into owning whole features.
