Job description

The D365 F&O + CRM Functional Consultant is responsible for end-to-end design, implementation, and optimization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (primary focus) along with Customer Engagement (CRM) capabilities.

This role bridges finance, operations, and customer engagement processes, enabling integrated enterprise solutions for multi-entity, multi-country organizations across USA and India.

The consultant will act as a functional lead and trusted advisor, driving finance-led digital transformation while ensuring seamless integration with CRM processes such as sales, customer service, and field operations.

Key Responsibilities

F&O (Primary) - Finance & Operations Transformation

  • Lead end-to-end design and implementation of D365 Finance & Operations modules:

o General Ledger, AP/AR, Fixed Assets

o Procurement & Sourcing, Inventory Management

o Project Accounting, Budgeting, Costing

  • Conduct fit-gap analysis workshops to translate business requirements into scalable system solutions.

  • Design multi-entity, multi-currency financial and operational processes aligned with US GAAP and India statutory requirements.

  • Define chart of accounts, financial dimensions, and intercompany structures.

CRM (Secondary) - Customer Engagement Enablement

  • Support design and implementation of Dynamics 365 CRM modules:

o Sales, Customer Service, Marketing (basic to intermediate level)

  • Align CRM processes with F&O workflows such as:

o Order-to-Cash (O2C)

o Customer lifecycle management

o Service billing and contract management

  • Collaborate with CRM teams to ensure seamless integration between CE and F&O (Dataverse, Dual-write).

Solution Design & Integration

  • Design integrated solutions across F&O and CRM ecosystems, ensuring data consistency and real-time synchronization.

  • Work with technical teams to define integrations using:

o Dual-write, APIs, Azure services

  • Ensure scalable and maintainable solution architecture with minimal customization.

Data Migration & Reporting

  • Lead data migration strategy using Data Management Framework (DMF):

o Financial master data, customer/vendor data, transactional data

  • Ensure data integrity, validation, and reconciliation across systems.

  • Design reporting and analytics solutions using:

o Financial reports, SSRS, and Power BI dashboards


Implementation & Delivery

  • Drive end-to-end project lifecycle:

o Requirements * Design * Configuration * Testing * Go-live

  • Lead SIT, UAT, cutover planning, and hypercare

  • Provide user training and documentation for finance and CRM users across regions

Stakeholder Management & Consulting

  • Engage with CFOs, business stakeholders, sales leaders, and IT teams

  • Act as a functional advisor for finance and customer engagement transformation

  • Support pre-sales activities

Requirements

  • 10-14 years of experience in ERP / CRM consulting

  • Minimum:

o 6+ years in D365 Finance & Operations (mandatory)

o 2-4 years exposure to Dynamics 365 CRM (CE modules)

  • At least 3+ full lifecycle F&O implementations

  • Experience in integrated F&O + CRM solutions

  • Proven exposure to global delivery (USA & India collaboration), * Finance (GL, AP/AR, Fixed Assets)

  • Procurement & Inventory

  • Budgeting & Costing, * Bachelor's/Master's in Finance, Business, Engineering, or related field

  • Certifications preferred:

o MB-300 (Core Finance & Operations)

o MB-310 (Finance) / MB-330 (SCM)

o CRM certifications (MB-210 / MB-230) - good to have

  • Strong skills in:

o Process mapping (Visio / BPMN)

o Business analysis & documentation

o Reporting & analytics using Power BI.
