We're looking for an experienced Salesforce Release Manager to lead and orchestrate end-to-end release management across complex Salesforce environments. You will ensure that all deployments are planned, governed, and executed with precision, aligning technical delivery with business priorities.
In this role, you'll oversee the full release lifecycle, coordinate cross-functional teams, and act as the ultimate decision-maker on release readiness, quality, and risk mitigation. You will work closely with development teams, architects, project managers, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless deployments while maintaining system stability and compliance standards.

Release Strategy & Governance
- Define and own the release management strategy, processes, and governance framework.
- Establish and maintain a clear release calendar across all environments.
- Ensure compliance with quality, security, and governance standards.
Release Planning & Execution
- Oversee planning, scheduling, coordination, and execution of Salesforce releases.
- Ensure smooth deployments across Development, UAT, Staging, and Production environments.
- Act as the final decision-maker for release readiness (go/no-go).
Cross-Team Coordination
- Lead and align cross-functional teams including Development, QA, Operations, Architecture, and Project Management.
- Serve as the central point of contact for all release-related activities.
- Facilitate synchronization between technical and business stakeholders.
Risk & Quality Management
- Identify, assess, and mitigate deployment-related risks.
- Ensure release quality by monitoring pipelines and enforcing validation processes.
- Define and implement rollback strategies and contingency plans.
Environment & Tooling Oversight
- Oversee Salesforce environment management and refresh strategies.
- Drive adoption and optimization of CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
- Ensure proper repository management and versioning strategies.
Continuous Improvement
- Lead post-release reviews and retrospectives.
- Identify opportunities to improve release efficiency, reliability, and quality.
- Standardize and scale best practices across projects.
Team Leadership & Resource Management
- Coordinate and guide release engineers and cross-functional teams.
- Ensure proper resource allocation and capacity planning for release activities.
- Act as a mentor and reference point for release management best practices.

Proven Release Management Leadership
Extensive experience managing complex Salesforce release cycles across multiple environments and projects.
Salesforce & DevOps Expertise
Deep understanding of Salesforce (metadata, packaging, environments) and CI/CD practices (Salesforce DX, DevOps Center, Gearset, Copado).
Strategic Oversight
Ability to design and enforce release governance frameworks, ensuring consistency, compliance, and scalability.
CI/CD & Version Control Mastery
Strong knowledge of Git-based workflows (GitHub, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps), branching strategies, and pipeline optimization.
Cross-Team Leadership
Experience coordinating developers, QA teams, architects, and business stakeholders in multi-team environments.
Decision-Making Authority
Comfortable owning release calendars, go/no-go decisions, rollback strategies, and prioritization.
Risk Management Expert
Strong ability to anticipate, assess, and mitigate risks through structured approaches such as risk matrices.
Process-Driven Mindset
Expertise in defining and enforcing best practices, including:
- Definition of Done
- Definition of Ready
- Governance processes
Technical Acumen
Familiarity with:
- YAML and XML
- Salesforce metadata management
- Authorization mechanisms (JWT, certificates)
- Deployment tools
Communication & Stakeholder Management
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with executive stakeholders and steer committees.
Languages
Fluent in English. Additional languages are a plus.
Certifications
Salesforce Development Lifecycle & Deployment Architect certification is a strong advantage.
