Job description

At Ariad, we connect strong digital talent with leading brands and meaningful projects. For this assignment, we're looking for a confirmed UX/Product Designer who combines UX research, interface design, accessibility and strong communication skills.

You'll help design applications that are truly built around users, their needs and their environment.

What you'll be doing

As a UX/Product Designer, you'll design user-friendly interfaces and continuously improve the user experience of digital applications.

You will:

  • Participate in the analysis of user needs and project requirements.
  • Build a strong understanding of users, their context and their working environment.
  • Define and plan UX research methods, including interviews, surveys, focus groups and user testing.
  • Support the recruitment of participants to collect relevant user insights.
  • Translate research findings into clear, practical and user-centred design solutions.
  • Create low-fidelity and high-fidelity interfaces, with a mobile-first prototyping approach.
  • Work with Figma and Axure to design flows, wireframes and prototypes.
  • Support analysts and developers in the design and implementation of user interfaces.
  • Make sure the developed application meets user expectations and fits the users' real environment.
  • Ensure that the visual and interface design respects accessibility standards, especially WCAG 2.1.
  • Contribute to and update the Design System.
  • Maintain clear, regular and constructive communication with clients, stakeholders and the project team.

Requirements

  • Confirmed experience in UX Design.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Figma.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Axure.
  • Experience with Conceptboard or similar tool.
  • Experience with Mentimeter or similar tool.
  • Solid knowledge of WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards.
  • Experience with UX research, user testing, prototyping and interface design.
  • The ability to explain your design choices clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A collaborative mindset and the confidence to work closely with analysts, developers, clients and end users.
  • A strong portfolio that shows your UX process, design thinking and final outcomes - Must have for the next step.

Languages

For this mission, language skills are key.

You have:

  • French: native level.
  • Dutch: professional understanding, including the ability to understand briefings in Dutch.
  • English: active professional working knowledge.

Must-haves

For this role, we do need:

  • Confirmed UX Design experience.
  • Strong experience with Figma.
  • Experience with Axure, Conceptboard and Mentimeter.
  • Good knowledge of accessibility, especially WCAG 2.1.
  • Experience creating low-fidelity and high-fidelity designs.
  • Experience working with or updating a Design System.
  • French: native level.
  • Dutch: professional understanding, including the ability to understand briefings in Dutch.
  • Professional working knowledge of English.
  • A strong and relevant portfolio for the next steps.
