Job description
As a Software Engineer Medical Devices, you will join a multidisciplinary team of software engineers, AI specialists, and deep learning experts developing innovative AI-enabled medical software solutions for clinical use in hospitals.
With our growing Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) portfolio and expanding installed base, we are looking for a talented Software Engineer to strengthen our team and help bring cutting-edge AI-powered healthcare solutions to market.
Initially, you will play a key role in the development of our stroke product, an AI-enabled solution that supports clinicians in identifying brain tissue that can still be rescued through timely intervention. By providing critical insights during acute stroke care, this technology helps healthcare professionals make faster and more informed treatment decisions.
You will contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing, verification, validation, and deployment in a regulated medical device environment. Working closely with deep learning experts, clinical specialists, and product teams, you will help transform advanced AI research into reliable and impactful products used in hospitals worldwide.
This position is funded through the CEREBRIS project and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative AI-based solutions for stroke diagnosis and treatment.
Main Responsabilities :
- Develope medical device software impacting patients with neurological conditions
What will you do exactly?
- Develop and deploy medical device software (Python / Docker)
- Support medical device audits audits and regulatory submissions (MDSAP, MDR, FDA)
- Maintain and improve our security posture
- Develop CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins)
- Have a lot of freedom and collaborate with a diverse set of nice colleagues
- Collaborate within and outside your agile team in an international environment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in (Applied) Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience (3 years at least)
- Good knowledge of the following topics:
- Python, or another object-oriented programming language
- Cybersecurity concepts
- Linux
- Basic knowledge of at least some the following topics:
- Docker
- CI/CD systems (e.g. Jenkins, Github Actions, ...)
- AWS
- SaMD

Strong willingness to learn and broad interest in IT

Solid communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and share your knowledge with others

Fluency in English
