AI & Cloud Software Lead

We are supporting an innovative company in the Green Energy sector seeking a Cloud Software & AI Lead to take ownership of its digital product ecosystem. This is a hands-on leadership position combining technical delivery, team leadership, and strategic input across software, AI, and connected product development.

You will play a key role in shaping and delivering the organisation's digital platforms, integrating software with physical products, and defining how AI is adopted across both customer-facing solutions and internal operations., * Lead the development of cloud-based software products and digital platforms

• Oversee internal business systems, customer portals, and mobile applications
• Define and implement an AI strategy across products and organisational processes
• Work closely with hardware and engineering teams to ensure seamless software-hardware integration
• Translate customer needs and operational feedback into technical requirements and product features
• Own end-to-end delivery of features, including architecture, implementation, and release management
• Lead and mentor a small team of internal and external developers
• Act as a key technical advisor to senior stakeholders on product and technology strategy
• Ensure alignment between technical decisions, business goals, and product vision

Tech Environment:

• Cloud: AWS & Google Cloud
• Backend: Java (Spring Boot)
• Frontend: TypeScript / React
• Database: PostgreSQL
• AI tooling: LLM-based tools and AI-assisted development platforms
• Collaboration: Google Workspace

• Minimum 6+ years of experience in software product development
• Strong background in cloud architecture and full-stack development
• Proven experience in technical leadership or team management
• Ability to operate across architecture, coding, and high-level system design
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Customer-centric and product-driven mindset
• Experience working in cross-functional environments (software + hardware preferred)
• Fluent in Dutch and English
