Job description

  • As a data centre system administrator, you will be responsible for monitoring, configuring and maintaining Windows Server operating systems and hardware in the data centre environment (HP, Cisco UCS).
  • You will support and optimise central Windows services (e.g. Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, SQL Server, IIS) and process second-level service requests.
  • In addition, you will further develop cloud and high-availability solutions and implement systems in private and public cloud environments.
  • You will create performance analyses, perform error analyses and troubleshooting, and derive optimisations for operating systems, hardware and processes.
  • Together with your colleagues, you will ensure 24/7 operation of the production systems, plan and document server resources, and support cross-departmental projects.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows?, * You have completed training in the IT field (e.g. IT specialist for system integration) or a degree (computer science, business informatics) and have at least five years of experience in operating 24/7 production systems.

  • You have in-depth knowledge of the administration of Windows Server operating systems (AD, GPO, DHCP, DNS, file and print services), WSUS and Windows clients.
  • You have experience in the configuration, installation and support of virtualised infrastructures (e.g. VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, cluster and cloud solutions). Knowledge of the Cisco network environment and certificates such as MCSA, MCSE or MCITP are desirable.
  • You are a motivated team player, work independently and proactively, keep a cool head even in stressful situations and thus contribute to operational reliability.
  • You communicate confidently in German and English (at least B2 level) and actively engage in collaboration with international colleagues.
