Job description
As Cloud Infrastructure & Identity Engineer, you are a knowledgeable and all-round specialist, and a strong counterpart in projects and initiatives across ViCentra.
You own our AWS cloud environment, act as a counterpart to our Azure partner, and manage the identity and access services that connect our people, devices, and customers. Beyond the technical work, you play an active role in projects, ensuring that everything we build meets our quality and regulatory standards through structured testing and documentation.
What You'll Take On
In your role, you will:
- Support ViCentra's Azure environment in collaboration with our external Azure partner, who handles day-to-day operations.
- Contribute to Azure-related projects including SSO setup, user and access configurations, and identity governance, ensuring smooth delivery and clear handover.
- Translate technical designs into understandable language for business stakeholders, and translate business requirements back into actionable technical requirements for our partners.
- You manage escalations and when needed are able to jump in to resolve urgent practical IT issues.
- Manage and operate ViCentra's Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) platform supporting and designing customer onboarding, authentication, and authorisation flows.
- Ensure identity solutions are secure, scalable, and compliant with data protection and other legal regulations.
- Manage our Mobile Device Management (MDM) environments using Microsoft Intune and Samsung Knox, covering device enrolment, policy configuration, and compliance monitoring.
- Work with Product Management, Customer Care, and IT colleagues to ensure identity and device management services support a smooth and secure customer experience.
- Manage and oversee ViCentra's AWS environment, ensuring it is secure, reliable, and fit for purpose; coordinating with internal and external technical resources when needed.
- Have a solid understanding of the key AWS services that support our application landscape; including compute, storage, database, API, and network services and be able to oversee, challenge, and steer technical work in these areas.
- Ensure our cloud setup is secure, cost-conscious, well-documented, and aligned with ViCentra's quality and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with development and operations colleagues, and where relevant external parties, to ensure the AWS environment supports reliable and scalable application hosting.
- Participate in IT initiatives within your domain. You independently keep track of progress, manage dependencies, and ensure the right stakeholders are informed and involved.
- Actively engage with business stakeholders, Quality, and external partners throughout projects and day to day operations.
- Perform testing activities including functional testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate that solutions work as intended.
- Create and maintain structured documentation.
- Ensure that changes to cloud, identity, and device management environments are well.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Mobile device management?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Relevant education (Bachelor or Master) and experience in IT, cloud management and information management.
- Familiarity with Azure services, SSO, and identity management.
- Experience with CIAM platforms such as Okta, Auth0, or AWS Cognito.
- Experience with MDM solutions, particularly Microsoft Intune or Samsung Knox.
- A good understanding of AWS cloud environments and the services in modern application landscapes. You know enough to manage, oversee, and steer and and to ask the right questions.
- Comfortable participating in projects. Working across teams, managing stakeholder expectations, and keeping things moving.
- Experience with testing and documentation in a structured or regulated environment.
- Strong communicator who can bridge technical and non-technical worlds with ease.
