About Us
Established almost 500 years ago, the College of Richard Collyer is forward thinking in every way. Our mission is simple: to deliver the best possible education to our 2,700+ students aged 16 to 19. Our achievements speak for themselves, consistently placing us within the top sixth form colleges nationally. OFSTED has recently graded our provision as Outstanding. In the summer of 2025, our A Level students achieved an outstanding 61% A*-B. Results across our other qualification types are equally as strong, with 76% of BTECs awarded high grades. Approximately 70% of our offer is A Levels, with 25% comprising Level 3 vocational and technical qualifications and 5% comprising our Foundation courses for students to bolster their Level 2 qualifications before progressing to Level 3. Alongside our academic, vocational and technical courses, we have a thriving enrichment programme, with over 130 activities available to all students from sports to arts and crafts and music. Staff are encouraged to offer enrichment activities if they wish to.
A great college deserves a great location: we're close to the centre of the historic market town of Horsham and under an hour from London by train. We're a supportive community rather than just a place to work, and we are deeply committed to the professional development of our staff.
Collyer's is committed to the professional development of all staff. Staff are encouraged to attend external CPD as well as in-house training events.
Salary: This post will be paid on the range Point 16 to Point 20 on the Support Staff Pay Scale, depending on qualifications and experience. The annual salary for a full-time post in this range is £33,232 to £37,734 per annum.
