Job description

At Foundation Building Materials (FBM), the Senior .NET Developer (Cloud & AI-Enabled) is responsible for supporting the development of modern, cloud-based applications using .NET technologies. This role exercises discretion and independent judgment when determining how to leverage cloud platforms and AI-assisted tools to improve application functionality and development efficiency while supporting scalable, secure, and well-documented application solutions for the business. Responsibilities and Qualifications, * Develop and maintain applications using C# and .NET Core

  • Design and develop backend software solutions using ASP.NET Core (MVC / Web API)
  • Utilize Entity Framework / EF Core for data access and persistence while analyzing system requirements

Frontend Development

  • Design and develop frontend software solutions using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript
  • Architect and support frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue

Cloud & AI Integration

  • Lead application deployment and maintenance on Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Integrate cloud services and AI-enabled APIs under guidance
  • Utilize AI-assisted developer tools for coding, testing, and documentation

Source Control, Testing & Documentation

  • Manage source code using GitHub, including pull requests and code reviews
  • Participate in testing, debugging, and maintaining documentation
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and determine appropriate resolution paths with minimal impact to business operations

Automation & Scripting

  • Write Python scripts for automation, data processing, and AI/ML integration tasks

Additional Responsibilities & Miscellaneous

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support Information Technology and corporate objectives

Requirements

Do you have experience in Version control systems?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience

  • 3-5+ years of professional experience in software development using C# and .NET Core
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles
  • Familiarity with ASP.NET Core and Entity Framework / EF Core
  • Experience with GitHub or similar version control systems
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server or other relational databases
  • Basic to intermediate Python experience for scripting, automation, or backend support

Preferred Qualifications (Cloud & AI Exposure)

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Understanding of cloud services such as application hosting, storage, and APIs
  • Familiarity with AI services or APIs such as Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, or GCP AI services
  • Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts
  • Experience using AI developer tools such as GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and JSON integration
  • Experience using Python for AI/ML workflows, data pipelines, or cloud automation

  • Dental insurance, The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position. Within the range, individual pay may vary based on experience, qualifications, and work location within state. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
  • Base: $123,000 - $140,000 per year
  • Bonus: 10% Target Bonus
  • Total Compensation (Base + Bonus): The successful candidate could reasonably expect a Total Compensation Package in the range of $129,000 - $164,000
