What You'll Do
- Lead and support system integration & test efforts for mission equipment on advanced vehicle platforms
- Troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues across software and hardware domains
- Analyze software behavior, perform root cause analysis, and support debugging efforts
- Read and interpret code to identify defects (no heavy development required)
- Execute lab and field testing, including test setup, data collection, and performance evaluation
- Collaborate with software, electrical, mechanical, and cyber teams to resolve integration challenges
- Support verification & validation (V&V) and ensure systems meet requirements
- Contribute to design reviews, test events, and customer briefings
- Assist with system upgrades, enhancements, and technical evaluations
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, integration, or test engineering
- Strong understanding of software-driven systems and system behavior
- Hands-on experience with:
- Integration & system-level testing
- Debugging and troubleshooting complex systems
- Root cause analysis (embedded or real-time systems)
- Ability to read and understand code (C/C++ or similar)
- Experience with system integration, verification, and validation (V&V)
- Comfortable working in lab and field environments
- Strong communication skills and ability to interface with technical teams and customers
Preferred (Nice-to-Have)
- Embedded systems, control systems, or electrical engineering exposure
- MATLAB / Simulink experience
- Familiarity with SysML / MBSE (Cameo preferred)
- Experience with DOORS or requirements tools
- Background in defense systems (vehicles, radar, C4ISR, missile systems), * Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- U.S. Citizenship (defense program requirement)
- Ability to travel (~10%)

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bridgeton, MO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52.00 - $55.00/hr.
