Job description

If you love solving complex challenges and keeping critical systems running seamlessly, this is your kind of role. As our Network Engineer III, you'll be the go-to expert behind the scenes-designing, optimizing, and protecting the backbone that keeps our business connected. You'll tackle everything from advanced troubleshooting to forward-looking architecture, all while mentoring others and shaping how we evolve. If you're ready to step into a role where your expertise truly drives impact, we'd love to meet you. This is a fully in-office role located in Green Bay, WI. What You'll Get to Do

Think of this role as part architect, part problem-solver, and part mentor. You'll be the one keeping our networks running smoothly while constantly finding ways to make them faster, smarter, and more secure. From designing enterprise-level solutions across LAN, WAN, wireless, and cloud environments to leading major upgrades and migrations, you'll have a direct hand in shaping how we connect and operate. You'll also partner with cybersecurity to stay ahead of risks, support voice and collaboration technologies, and help guide junior engineers as they grow their skills. And yes-your work will be documented (because future-you and the team will thank you).

Requirements

  • 4-7 years of progressive experience in network engineering
  • Routing and switching (e.g., BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP)
  • Network security technologies (firewalls, VPNs, segmentation)
  • Enterprise network hardware and platforms
  • Experience designing and implementing network solutions in enterprise or multi-site environments
  • Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor team members
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Industry certifications such as CCNP (or equivalent) preferred

Benefits & conditions

In addition to a competitive wage, the selected candidate will enjoy a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, prescription drug, wellness programs, STD, LTD, life insurance, company matching 401(k) and pension. Green Bay Packaging benefits may vary by position or division.
