Job description
Our client seeks a Principal Systems Analyst to join an agile delivery squad supporting donor-focused digital experiences. The analyst will partner with Product Owners and Squad Leads to elicit and document requirements, analyze current-state systems, define technology solutions, and collaborate with QA on test planning. The role requires close collaboration across business and IT and a commitment to quality outcomes., * Collaborate within an agile squad to deliver enhancements and features for donor-focused digital products.
- Partner with Product Owners and Squad Leads to elicit, refine, and document business and system requirements.
- Perform current-state analysis of systems and data flows to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Define solution approaches and support integration design including APIs and data contracts.
- Develop acceptance criteria and partner with QA on test case preparation and validation.
- Create and maintain formal analysis artifacts using standard methodologies.
- Support change initiatives and drive continuous improvement across processes.
- Engage stakeholders across business and technology functions throughout the product life cycle.
- Contribute to risk and fraud prevention initiatives and support integration with machine learning models when applicable.
Requirements

- Ten years of systems analysis experience.
- Six years working within an Agile software development framework.
- Strong SQL skills and proficiency with database query tools.
- Strong understanding of IT processes and technical domains relevant to assigned responsibilities.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with ability to prioritize and meet objectives.
- Growth mindset, commitment to quality, and ownership of outcomes.
- Readiness to discuss agile principles and INVEST.
- Five plus years of project delivery experience in a systems or business analyst role.
- Three plus years on agile teams delivering digital products preferred.
- Experience with systems development methodologies and formal documentation.
- Experience or knowledge of RESTful APIs and work across front-end and back-end applications.
- Experience in risk and fraud prevention, system integrations, and familiarity with machine learning model integrations is preferred.
- Domain experience within financial services is preferred.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required. Bachelor's in Computer Science, Business, or related field with combined business and technical orientation is preferred.
