Job description

The Senior Lead Software Engineer is a senior technical leader responsible for designing, developing, and delivering innovative solutions to complex business and technical challenges. This role provides architectural leadership, drives engineering best practices, and influences technical strategy across multiple products and teams.

The ideal candidate combines deep hands-on engineering expertise with strong leadership skills, serving as a trusted technical advisor to engineering, product, and executive stakeholders. This position leads through influence rather than direct people management and plays a key role in shaping the technical direction of the organization., * Design and develop highly complex, business-critical software solutions and application enhancements.

  • Lead technical design, architecture, and implementation efforts for strategic initiatives.
  • Define scalable, maintainable, and secure solution architectures aligned with business objectives.
  • Create technical specifications and provide guidance to engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Serve as a technical leader and mentor, helping engineers solve complex problems and adopt best practices.
  • Drive architectural decisions and technical standards in collaboration with engineering, product, and executive leadership.
  • Lead technical evaluations, proof-of-concepts, and adoption of emerging technologies.
  • Ensure software quality through testing, automation, code reviews, and adherence to engineering standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production and application issues.
  • Partner with Product Management, Support, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer and business needs.
  • Promote continuous improvement in engineering processes, system performance, scalability, and operational excellence.
  • Communicate technical strategies, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in software architecture, application design, and modern software engineering practices.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale technical initiatives and influencing architectural decisions across teams.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills with the ability to build consensus among technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical guidance across multiple projects.
  • Experience presenting technical concepts, strategies, and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, and scalable application design.
  • Experience developing and supporting native mobile applications is required.

Benefits & conditions

Salary will generally fall between $83,524 - $130,000 before adjustment for geographic differences. Recruiter can confirm if position is incentive eligible.
