Job description
We are seeking a dedicated System/Network Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity, availability, and security of classified Windows systems and network infrastructure. This role involves a blend of system administration, network management, project coordination, vulnerability management, system hardening, and desktop/software support., * Administer and maintain Microsoft Windows servers, client systems, backup systems, network infrastructure, and databases.
- Provide end user desktop support for systems and applications at the local site and across the classified WAN.
- Build, configure, and maintain physical and virtual Windows servers in support of program requirements.
- Perform regular system updates, patching, and hardening activities to reduce vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
- Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to streamline deployment and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand program requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
- Communicate complex technical issues, risks, and recommendations clearly to management and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience; or, in lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Full-Scope Polygraph.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- 6 years of experience as a System/Network Administrator supporting an enterprise-level domain environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems, networking protocols, PowerShell, and security best practices.
- Experience supporting Linux systems, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8/9, CentOS, and Ubuntu.
- Experience with Commvault or similar enterprise level backup system.
- Experience with VMware or similar virtualization platforms.
- Experience with Ansible.
- Experience with Commvault or similar backup solutions.
- Experience managing systems in compliance with the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Benefits & conditions
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California is $91,500 - $170,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
