Job description

Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service and environmental preservation, is looking for a Data Management Specialist for their Vancouver, WA. location. The Data Steward supports an Engineering Applications and Standards organization by providing data management, process tracking, and documentation support for technical projects and initiatives. This role is responsible for preparing and maintaining standards, specifications, reports, and process documentation, while also supporting the administration and utilization of technical software systems and data infrastructure. This position is a one-year renewable contract that includes employee benefits!, * Maintain and track environmental compliance data, inventory records, and related reporting requirements.

  • Review, update, and monitor information across multiple databases, project tracking systems, and SharePoint sites.
  • Prepare recurring reports, dashboards, and documentation to support regulatory compliance and operational decision-making.
  • Perform project document control activities, including receiving, organizing, tracking, archiving, and consolidating feedback on deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain procedures, workflows, metadata standards, and records management practices to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Serve as a subject matter resource for technical tracking systems and create supporting user documentation and training materials.
  • Manage digital records, file repositories, and document retention processes in accordance with information governance and security requirements.
  • Administer SharePoint sites, forms, libraries, permissions, and related collaboration tools.
  • Develop and maintain workflow automation tools, forms, databases, and reporting solutions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Utilize AI-enabled tools to analyze technical documents, identify inconsistencies, standardize terminology, and streamline review processes.
  • Coordinate records reviews, support compliance initiatives, and assist with risk identification and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Provide administrative support including travel coordination, contract documentation, visitor access requests, and fleet record management.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in SharePoint?, * BA degree in Business Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.

  • Minimum six (6) months experience supporting records management, document control, or data management within engineering, construction, surveying, drafting, or other technical environments.
  • Experience working with progressively complex technical processes and applying established procedures and practices.
  • Working knowledge of automated data systems and information management tools.
  • 1+ years' experience: SharePoint, Bentley ProjectWise or similar system, MS Excel
  • Valid U.S. driver's license required., * 6+ months experience: Supporting records management, document control, or data management within engineering, construction, surveying, drafting.
